Project Overview

A multi-cuisine restaurant in Bangalore needed a complete kitchen built across 800 sq ft with a full cooking line, including ranges and griddle stations. The menu ran from Indian curries to continental grills, so the line had to cover a wide range of techniques while plating quickly at full covers. Steelkraft designed and built the entire kitchen in grade 304 stainless steel.

The Client Brief

The owner wanted a kitchen that could plate a varied menu quickly at full covers without stations clashing. That meant a cooking line with distinct zones for range work and griddle work, cold storage close to the pass, and a prep and wash area that kept the cooking line clear of dirty work. The kitchen also had to fit a defined floor without cramping the chefs during a busy service.

Steelkraft's Approach

We visited the site, checked the exhaust routing and drainage, and mapped a layout that ran the cooking line along one wall under continuous exhaust hoods, with clear stations for the ranges and the griddle. Refrigeration and prep tables went behind the line so cooks could reach ingredients without leaving their station, and the dishwash area was placed on its own path away from cooking. Every unit was fabricated in our facility and the layout was approved by the owner before any steel was cut.

  • Full cooking line with multi-burner ranges and a flat-top griddle
  • Continuous exhaust hoods with grease filters over the line
  • Under-counter and upright refrigeration close to the pass
  • Stainless steel prep tables and cutting stations behind the line
  • Dishwasher and pre-rinse station for crockery and utensils

The Outcome

The restaurant now runs its full multi-cuisine menu with each cooking style on its own station and no cross traffic through dirty zones. Keeping refrigeration and prep directly behind the line has sped up plating during peak hours, and the continuous exhaust keeps the whole cooking wall clear. The kitchen is covered by our after-sales service so any issue is handled fast.
