Project Overview

A Chinese restaurant in Bangalore needed a kitchen built around high-pressure wok cooking inside a 700 sq ft space. Chinese cooking runs hot and fast, so the line had to deliver serious burner power, clear heavy heat and smoke, and keep prep and wash flowing alongside a demanding wok section. Steelkraft designed and built the complete Chinese restaurant kitchen in grade 304 stainless steel.

The Client Brief

The owner wanted a proper Chinese range with high-pressure burners and blowers, enough of them to plate wok dishes quickly at full covers. That meant heavy-duty extraction over the range, refrigeration and prep close behind the cook, and a pot wash area sized for the constant flow of woks and utensils a Chinese kitchen goes through. The kitchen had to fit the floor without cramping the wok section.

Steelkraft's Approach

We visited the site, checked the exhaust routing and gas supply, and designed a layout that ran the Chinese wok range along one wall under a heavy exhaust hood built for high-heat cooking. High-pressure burners with blowers gave the cooks the power they needed, and prep tables and refrigeration went directly behind the line. A dedicated pot wash area with a large sink handled the constant flow of woks and utensils. Everything was fabricated in-house and the layout was approved before any steel was cut.

The Outcome
