Project Overview
A complete restaurant kitchen installation for a 120 cover beach resort restaurant in North Goa serving multi-cuisine and seafood menus across lunch and dinner services.
The Brief
The resort restaurant required a complete kitchen setup within a 700 sq ft space with Goa's coastal environment presenting specific challenges for equipment selection. The salt air environment and high humidity required careful material specification to prevent corrosion and ensure equipment longevity. The menu included fresh seafood requiring dedicated preparation and cold storage facilities.
Our Approach
Steelkraft visited the North Goa resort and specified grade 304 stainless steel throughout with additional attention to surface finishing and sealing to resist the coastal salt air environment. The seafood menu required a dedicated raw seafood preparation area with separate drainage and a cold storage section maintained at lower temperatures than a standard restaurant kitchen. Goa FSSAI requirements for tourist establishment food service were incorporated into the layout design.

Outcome
The kitchen was installed and commissioned before the resort's peak tourist season. The grade 304 specification has performed well in the coastal environment with no corrosion issues reported after 18 months of operation. The dedicated seafood preparation zone satisfied Goa FSSAI requirements for tourist establishment kitchens.
